Read all the multi-packs and shorts packs long ago, since 2012. The author has gotten better with age/practice. I've read almost all of the Cooper stories (1 - 230) and several of Mr. Bernico's short stories and most have not disappointed me. You'll find some poorly written or predictable stories, but for the most part they are fair to good. The Cooper series are better, but there's a few stinkers, too. They're great for a coffee break or a few minutes to relax.

Cooper's Dozen was well written and I enjoyed the stories very much. These stories are written with a detective's perspective. It feels as if you are getting a portion out of a much larger book. I thought it was neat the way it was put together.
